Your rights and obligations relating to your use of this Card are contained in these terms and conditions.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before you use your card.  Using your card will indicate to us that you have read and accepted these terms and conditions.  If you have any questions, please contact Customer Services using the details below.

 

Your card is a prepaid electronic money card which contains the value that we have preloaded.
The electronic money associated with this card is issued by PrePay Solutions Ltd, a company regulated by the Financial Services Authority for the issuance of electronic money. Edenred (Incentives & Motivation) Ltd manages the Compliments Card and is the owner of the electronic money associated with this card.

 

Activation

Your card may already have been activated by the award provider of this card and if so you should have received notification of this.

If you have a card that requires activation, you will be sent a letter with an activation code by separate cover. Activate your card online by going to the homepage and clicking on the ‘Activate your card’ link or by calling Customer Services on 01244 625380.  Please note that your card cannot be used until it has been activated. If you haven’t received your activation code within 7 days of receiving your card, please call Customer Services.

 

Using your card

Once activated, your card is ready for you to use in full or part payment at the retailers outlined on this website. If you try to use your card at any other store it will be declined.

 

Your card is not a chip and pin card, therefore you will need to sign the back of your card when you receive it.  You will not receive any change from any of your purchases but any balance remaining may be applied to future purchases.

 

This card cannot be exchanged for cash.

 

Where applicable, this card can be used to make internet and phone purchases.

 

Refunds cannot be transacted on an expired card; however the retailer may offer you their own vouchers or a credit note as an alternative.

 

Your card cannot be used at an ATM or to obtain cash back in a store.

 

Damaged, altered or cancelled cards will not be accepted by retailers.

 

Your card and any balance remaining will expire on the date printed on the card.  You will not be entitled to a refund of any unused funds after this date.

 

You can check your balance at any time online by going to the homepage and clicking on the ‘Balance enquiry’ link or by calling Customer Services.

 

Keeping your card safe

You should treat the e-money on your card like cash in a wallet.  If you lose your card or it is stolen you may lose any e-money on it in just the same way as if you lost your wallet. You should never allow anyone else to use your card. Please note that you will need to keep a record of your card number for balance enquiries or to report your card lost or stolen, as we may not store any personal information about you.

This card is not redeemable for cash, neither is it a credit, charge or cheque guarantee card. If this card is used at a participating store in Eire, a foreign exchange charge will be applied to the purchase.

 

Cancellation, Complaints and expiry of your card

If you need a replacement card for any reason, please contact Customer Services.  We can block or cancel your card if we suspect that your card may be used in a negligent or unlawful manner.  The card and any balance remaining will expire at the date printed on the card. Lost and stolen

If you lose your card, if it is stolen, or if you think it has been used without your permission, please contact Customer Services.  If you later find your card, please contact Customer Services again as soon as possible.

 

Our Responsibility

We are not responsible for any loss or damage that you suffer as a result of your use of your card, or from the use of your card by any other person or organisation.  We are not responsible for any loss resulting from any cause beyond our control.  If we are responsible due to our error, our liability will be limited to replacement of your card.  Nothing in these terms and conditions shall exclude our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or fraud.  Edenred (Incentives & Motivation) Ltd reserves the right to amend or waive these terms and conditions, or terminate this scheme on reasonable notice.

 

Your information and data protection

If we do hold any personal information about you, we will do so in accordance with the Data Protection Act.  Unless we are required by law, we will not pass your personal information to anyone without your permission other than our affiliates, distributors and agents for research and analysis. You have the right to inspect the personal information we hold about you.  Please contact Customer Services for more information.

 

Complaints and compensation

If you have a complaint about the operation of your card, you should contact Customer Services using the details provided below.  You are entitled to complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service (South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London, E14 9SR; telephone 0845 0801 800).  The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is not available for this Card and no other compensation schemes exist in connection with your Card.

 

General

We alone may transfer our rights and responsibilities under these terms and conditions to a third party.  These terms and conditions are governed by English Law and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

These terms and conditions form an agreement between you and PrePay Solutions Ltd, PO BOX 5381, London, W1A 7EY, (the issuer of the cards and E-Money.)

The Compliments Card is managed by Edenred (Incentives & Motivation) Ltd, Northgate, The Pavilions, Chester Business Park, Chester, CH4 9QJ.
